Indoor Soccer / Futsal at Sam's Indoor Sports Centre

Indoor Soccer, also known as Futsal, is a fast, fun, and skill-focused version of traditional soccer, played indoors on a smaller, hard court. With fewer players and no walls, futsal encourages quick thinking, close control, and non-stop action — making it ideal for beginners and seasoned players alike!

How the Game Works:
Futsal is typically played between two teams of 5 players, including a goalkeeper. The smaller team size and court encourage more touches, faster gameplay, and more chances to be involved in the action.

Key Rules for Beginners:

• Each game is played in two halves of 20 minutes (can vary depending on local rules).
• The ball is smaller and heavier than a regular soccer ball to improve control.
• No slide tackles are allowed, promoting a safer and more skillful game.
• The ball must stay within the court lines — no walls to bounce off.
• Players have 4 seconds to restart play on kick-ins, corners, and goal clearances.
• Goalkeepers cannot touch the ball with their hands if passed back by a teammate.

Scoring System:

• A goal is scored when the entire ball crosses the goal line between the goalposts.
• Each goal counts as 1 point.
• The team with the most goals at the end of the match wins.

Equipment Availability:

1. We can provide balls needed to play the game but if you need any additional equipment or jersey’s or protectors, you need to bring your own.
