Indoor Netball at Sam's Indoor Sports Centre

Indoor Netball is a fast, exciting team sport that's similar to traditional netball but played indoors, often with rebound nets along the sides to keep the ball in play. It’s a great way to stay fit, build teamwork, and enjoy fast-paced action in a fun and social environment — perfect for beginners and experienced players alike!

How the Game Works:
Indoor Netball is played between two teams of 7 players, each assigned specific court positions with designated areas where they can move. The objective is to pass the ball down the court and score goals by shooting into a high ring, similar to basketball but without a backboard.

Key Rules for Beginners:

• Games are usually played in four 10-minute quarters.
• Players must stay in their designated zones and cannot run with the ball.
• You have 3 seconds to pass the ball once you receive it.
• Defenders must stand at least 3 feet away from the player with the ball.
• Contact and obstruction are not allowed, promoting safe and fair play.
• In rebound net formats, the ball can bounce off the nets to stay in play, adding to the pace and fun.

Scoring System:

• 1 goal = 1 point, scored when the Goal Shooter or Goal Attack successfully shoots the ball through the ring.
• The team with the most goals at the end of the game wins.

Equipment Availability:

1. We can provide balls needed to play the game but if you need any additional equipment or jersey’s, you need to bring your own.
